Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are thin porcelain facings that are bonded to the front surfaces of the teeth. They are indicated for teeth that are discoloured, chipped, or slightly misaligned. Veneers allow many patients to achieve a dramatic smile makeover and restore confidence in their smile.

Veneers typically require 3 – 4 appointments. The first and second visits involve consultations to determine the desired look, and plan the shape of the veneers to achieve it.

During the preparation appointment, the tooth surfaces will be prepared for veneers by removing a thin layer of enamel, and taking impressions of the teeth.  At the end of this appointment, temporary veneers will be placed during the time the permanent veneers are made.

On the final visit, the permanent veneers will be tried in and then bonded to the teeth.
